Fire destroys Father Divine’s New Heaven branch in New Paltz
Fire swept a newly purchased 22 room two story building used by Father Divine’s followers. Sheriff’s office in Kingston announced an immediate investigation. Damage was estimated over 25000 dollars. Two Drivers Are Given Jail Terms
Two drivers charged with drunk driving were sentenced in Police Court this morning. Clarence Lichliter, 26, of Berryville, was jailed two months and fined 110.25 for driving under the influence and leaving the scene on Virginia Avenue on April 23, with licenses revoked. Garnett Payne, of Front Royal, was fined 110.25 and jailed one month for driving while intoxicated, and his permit was revoked.
