The Snyder murder trial in Queens County Court House proceeds with the eighth and ninth jurors selected after long examination. Justice Scudder plans to hold court all night to complete a jury. 244 talesmen had been examined in four days. Miss Mignon Perry has joined the George Washington Hotel staff as stenographer, filling a vacancy left by Miss Mildred Rinker.
Brunswick schools prepare for a parade participation with a pageant honoring the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad centennial and apple industry. A special train to Winchester for two days will carry students to the Apple Blossom Festival as officials and growers share history. The event includes reenactment of the cornerstone laying and a high school glee club performance along the route.
A severe electrical storm visited yesterday afternoon with heavy rain and hail. Hailstones at Winchester Golf Club reached the size of hickory nuts. The storm persisted into the night, followed by a drastic drop in temperature and more sleet in Winchester this morning.

Mrs Eve France 88, widow of former Senator Joseph I France and former wife of Jacob Tome, died at her Baltimore home after a several month illness. She helped found Tome Institute at Port Deposit Md and will be interred there Monday.
A Valley Apple Blossom pageant unfolds at the Fair Grounds with a royal parade review. Margaret Olmstead named Princess from Warr en County. queen and maids to wear pale pink gowns and silver accents. The procession features the queen’s float and flowered staff bearers with a royal box entrance and fanfare.
Tomorrow features a big Saturday program at the Empire with Ted Ia and his Go To It Musical Comedy Company for a three day engagement including matinees. At 8:30 p m the Staunton Military Academy jazz orchestra offers a half hour mid show program between performances. The lineup includes its dancers singers and tumblers in a varied bill.
