20th Annual Apple Blossom Meet Opens in Salvo
The public meet in Salvo North Carolina runs with free admissions and lunch on the grounds. Attractions include music a steam popcorn and peanut wagon. The event concludes tomorrow night with a banquet awards and dance at the Sizzling Steak House Rt 11. Arthur Bragg chairs with attendees Henry Krusen antique car club official several national directors and John Warner former Navy secretary and Senate candidate to cut the ribbon at noon behind the War Memorial Building.

Edmonds and Smith Sentenced in Frederick County Case
Edmonds and Smith, named leaders of a burglary ring, received five year terms for breaking and entering with most runs concurrent with Clarke County sentences. Triple Fatality On Longhill Road Near Williamsburg
A head on collision on James City County Longhill Road killed three people near a curve at 9 30 am. Franklin Graham 17 of James City County and Robert Lee Martin 40 and Katherine Phillips 38 of Route 3 died in the crash. Graham had just dropped his father at a junior high. State police have not yet determined the cause.

Bomb threat charges filed in Warren County schools
Front Royal Police and Warren County Sheriff's Department filed charges over recent bomb threats. Joseph Carvalho Jr. 18 is charged for the Feb 21 call to Warren County High School and is jailed on a 5000 dollar bond. A juvenile faces petitions for a false threat at Warren County Junior High on March 20 prompting evacuation and explosive-detecting dog checks.
