The City of Winchester and Frederick County will formally open the victory loan drive with a large parade expected to bring many organizations, Red Cross units, bands, and groups to participate. A program at the Empire Theater with Capt Arthur Hunt Chute as principal speaker will follow. Parade forms at 6 30 in front of Handley Library marching Cork to Main to Piccadilly to Market and to the Empire Theater.

The funeral for Mrs. Sarah C. Jenkins of No 18 South Main Street will be held Tuesday at 2 PM from her home with Rev F M Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hebron. Mrs Jenkins widow of the late George E B Jenkins was born October 13 1842 and leaves a daughter Mrs Sarah Baker two half sisters Mrs Massie and Mrs Maggie Wood a half brother Mr Russell Baker and other relatives. She had long suffered paralysis and illness but remained a devout Methodist.
