The Braddock Street residence built in 1812 by Robert Gray and later owned by Elizabeth Taylor Bliss Dandridge daughter of President Zachary Taylor is being razed by M C Copenhaver for salvaged materials. The home housed historic bricks hand forged nails and a Braddock sash now at Mount Vernon.

In Washington on April 20 1929 Bishop James Cannon Jr testified he was not responsible for reports by Ada L Burroughs on contributions used against Alfred E Smith in 1928. He said Burroughs handled reporting as treasurer of the Virginia Anti Smith committee while he supervised a three member Richmond based campaign committee.
