Four Year Old Batting Prodigy Hopes for Little League
Scottie Copenhaver, a 3 or 4 year old with a regulation bat and a powerful swing, hits home runs in a backyard field watched by his father Dan ny, his mother Rhonda, and neighborhood kids. He studies umpire signals and trains with a Johnny Bench Batter-Up machine, aiming to join Little League in five years. His story, recounted by Scottie’s family, mirrors earlier TV features about young phenoms in Washington.
