Total receipts for 1934 state motor licenses up to Saturday were 50 287 30 including 5 266 20 for For Hire licenses. 1933 receipts were 53 734 90, about 8715 80 more, with few For Hire plates sold then. On the grace day this year 639 plates were issued, vs 638 last year, and total vehicles registered by Saturday were 4 087, with 149 For Hire. In 1933 the office issued 2 970 licenses, a gain of 1117 this year.

Funeral Rites Held For George Cook 65
Funeral services were conducted for George Cook 65 at the home near Mount Pleasant with Rev Franklin G Senger officiating. Interment followed in Oldfield Cemetery Moorefield West Virginia. He lived with the Hinkles and was an uncle to Mrs Harley Hinkle. Born near Moorefield he spent most of his life there before moving to Mount Pleasant last October. He was a Church of the Brethren member who endured illness since February. He never married and is survived by three brothers Riley Levi and Preston Cook of Moorefield and sister Mrs Angela Smith of Cumberland Maryland.
