Front Royal Oratorio Society practices three months for Easter staging of Haydn The Creation. About 50 local members rehearse weekly at the Methodist church under Dr. William Averitt, Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, with a 30-piece Shenandoah-led orchestra and four soloists. The group relies on a Virginia Commission of the Arts grant and community donations for two-fifths of the budget. auditions are required but the cost is a silver offering at the April 23 performance at Warren County High School.
