Snowstorm Collision Near Catholic Rectory Injures Unnamed Rider
During a blinding snowstorm on South Main street an automobile and a buggy carrying Miss Virginia Kitchen of Clarke County collided near the Catholic rectory. The buggy suffered a broken wheel and shaft but no one was injured. Driver Chris Grubb aided the injured and summoned Dr. C R Anderson for Miss Kitchen, who was unharmed. Grubbs arranged for another buggy and escorted Kitchen to a hotel for the night before she returned home. An electric street lamp at the scene was out and snow covered Grubb's windshield, making horn signals ineffective.
