Navy Man Hurt In Car Crash North Of Winchester
A U S Navy man Samuel B. Simcoe 31 of Hyattsville Md was injured when his 1956 Ford convertible struck the east side of a culvert on U S Route 11 about four miles north of Winchester. He suffered rib fractures scalp and knee lacerations and is reported recovering satisfactorily at Memorial Hospital. Time of the 7 30 a m crash was estimated. Damages to the car were about 1500. A county crash also occurred at 8 a m near Gore involving two school bus rear collision with a 1949 Chevrolet and a 1956 Ford station wagon.
