Virginia Lee Warren, a New York Times correspondent in Buenos Aires, was questioned today by Argentine federal police over the air clerks strike that ended yesterday. She was released after questioning. a U.S. Embassy attaché said she was cleared. The incident may have been mistaken identity. Warren, from Winchester, Virginia, is engaged to Milton Bracker. Town Talent Enlists to Aid Memorial Hospital Building Fund
The Town Ladies Auxiliary plans the Know the Talent of Your Town concert at Handley Auditorium at 8 p m on April 23 to raise funds toward a 410 500 goal for the Memorial hospital building project. Co chairs are Mrs Kenneth Robinson and Mrs Leon Slavin with Mrs Ralph Hardy as program chair and others in charge of arrangements publicity. Artists include pianist Mrs Eugenia Evans and modern dancer Mrs Marion Park Lewis with Robert L Stewart on piano. The European concert star Mrs Evans has a Prague conservatory Masters and has taught in Chicago and Prague before moving to the United States in 1940. The auxiliary has expanded its work from linen and china to baths beds chairs a colored ward remodeling and an elevator endowment fund and other improvements. The group supports a mobile canteen and helps fund the Help Your Hospital boxes. Endowment funds support schoolchildren needing minor operations.
