Death of George H. Pope At Advanced Frederick County Age

George H. Pope aged 82 retired Frederick County farmer died last evening at 617 South Kent Street with complications from a long illness. He leaves two sisters and a brother, was a longtime Sacred Heart member, with funeral at 10 am Wednesday at the Church of the Sacred Heart and burial in Mount Hebron Cemetery. Pallbearers are named, body at Jones funeral home moved to 101 West Hart Street for vigil.

City and county CWA expenditures totaled 50,373.12 with 39,373.12 disbursed by the city office and 10,796.09 by the county office. Closings followed allocations made late February for a second phase, with little second allocation spent before CWA ended March 31. One Killed in Brussels Riots as Clashes Spread

One person died and more than a score were injured in weekend political clashes around Brussels city as Communists and Nationalists fought during the inauguration of the Nationalist Blue Shirts headquarters. Veterans to Hold Beer and Pretzels Meeting Night
