Waldo Hack Dies of Heart Attack
Waldo Hack, Baltimore family member and brother of Frank N. Hack, died suddenly from a heart attack at his Glyndon home. Funeral Monday at 10 a.m. at his sister Mrs. Douglas G. Carroll's home in Brooklandville, with burial in Greymount Cemetery, Baltimore. He was about 58, unmarried, and survived by two sisters and a brother, with numerous connections in Maryland and Winchester.

Way Cleared To Build Armory For 116th Infantry
The Roanoke city council approved plans to build an armory on the Rouss Park grounds for Headquarters Company and Company I of the 116th Infantry. Architect Capt. H. B. Boynton was authorized to prepare detailed plans with bids expected shortly after four weeks. A State Military Board grant adds 3000 to a 48000 project fund, with 33000 from the armory bond issue and 15000 from the Military Board share. The facility includes a 65 by 90 feet drill hall and optional club rooms, front dimensions 167 by 22 feet, total front 103 by 22 feet if clubs omitted.
