Virginia Arbor Day Observed by Winchester Schools
Virginia marks its first official Arbor Day on March 39 as Winchester Senior and Junior High and Elementary schools plant dogwood elm and pin oak trees at the Equity building Handley School grounds. Students and officials attend as teachers present poems songs and a spade dedication while classes plant their trees and offer reflections on future generations.
