In Tynec near Prague, Czechoslovakia police said the top investigator of Stalinist crimes, Dr Jozef Brestansky, deputy president of the Supreme Court, was found hanged five days after his disappearance. Police expressed near certainty it was suicide, though a close friend disputed the likelihood.
