Four Children Die in Rural Fire Near Farmville
In Prince Edward County near Farmville Virginia a one story home owned by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lee burned. Four of the couple’s ten children Aubrey 5 Norman 4 Betsy 9 months and Charles 9 months were found dead near the back door. Mrs. Lucille Lee away tending a cow returned to find the house ablaze. The six older children were at school and the father was at work. Fire officials reported the blaze and could not enter the home.

Boy Found Tortured, Slain Near Omaha Road
