WISD Questions Value of County GIS Plans

County Judge Eddy Etheredge criticized CAD for pursuing an electronic mapping system separate from the county GIS effort. Newsom said many counties use GIS widely but many of its uses would not apply to WISD and questioned cost versus benefit.
