The Hays County Historical Commission invites citizens to apply for the 1995 96 term. Applications are due April 10, 1995 and available in the county judge's office or on the third floor of the Hays County Annex at 102 N. LBJ Drive. Call Lila Knight at 512 392 2521 for details.
A community rabies clinic at Bowen campus on March 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. offers vaccinations for $5, hosted by Chapel in the Hills Youth Group with veterinarians Betsy Walker, Joe Burke, and Mike Sheffield. Proceeds support the youth group as Texas, facing an ongoing rabies outbreak, urges vaccination for pets and education to prevent bites and wild animal exposure.
Gail Ware reports the Wimberley Woman's Club meets March 23 at Noon at Seven Oaks Resort with the Canyon High Balladiers jazz show. Also planned are the Woodcreek Crawfish Open Golf Tournament March 25 at Woodcreek Country Club and the Wimberley Horse Club Playday March 25 at Flying J Ranch with halter, timed and judged events. Project Graduation 1995 seeks community support and will appoint a fundraising representative. contact Marty Dean at 847-3221.
