Wimberley Lions review community and club impact
The Wimberley Lions Club, with 125 members, supports the area through Lions International service and the famed Market Day. In fiscal year 1996 it funded about 70 causes, disbursing nearly $80,000. The club hosts monthly Market Day on 15 acres, staffed by Lions and local civic groups. Guest Richard Oppel of the Austin American Statesman spoke on changes at the newspaper and future plans.
