Settlement reached on Woodcreek utility rates
After a decade of disputed water rates the City of Woodcreek Woodcreek Property Owners Assoc Woodcreek Utilities and the Texas Water Commission reached a settlement. Water rate is 16.92 per month 5/8 3/4 inch meters and wastewater 19.13 per month. Rates apply inside and outside city. Previous rates were 13.32 water 14.48 wastewater inside city while outside city 12.94 water 18.19 wastewater. Mayor Jeanine Pool noted the rate is lower than 1987 utility demand but higher than current payments. Settlement includes dismissal of lawsuits and hiring consultant Barry Sarma of Gebhard Sarma Group Inc. The Texas Water Commission used 1991 as test year. Negotiations involved Peel attorney Ed Phillips Pinky Peel Richards Rehman Frank Thomson Sr Is Larkin and others. WOODCREEK Page 3

Gospel Fest Opens Weekend in Wimberley TX
The 14th Annual Wimberley Gospel Music Festival starts this weekend at Blue Hole Campground on Cypress Creek in Wimberley Texas. Performances feature traditional bluegrass instrumental acapella and country gospel with no admission charge and donations encouraged to cover performers travel costs.
