Shirley Draper surrendered to Tarrant County authorities on a $5,000 personal bond and was booked and released. Her Austin attorney Bill Allison withdrew from the case after failing to secure terms of representation with Hays County District Attorney Marcus Hernandez. The indictment accuses Draper of endangering and injuring children connected to the deaths of Shawna Cooke and Marissa Cooke, ages 10 and 8, whose father Gregory Cooke drove the car found submerged in an effluent pond in Woodcreek.
