Al-Anon Step Meeting is held Thursdays noon to 1 at Chapel in the Hills Church. Women’s AA meets Wednesdays 6 30 p m at River Road Landing. Wimberley AA meets daily at River Road Landing with multiple daily times. Toastmasters meet 7 p m Tuesdays at Summit Center New Braunfels. Wimberley Flyers RC plane club meets second Tuesday 7 30 to 9 30 p m at Hidalgo Supply Co. 12 year old drives mom to hospital hero of the day
Caleb Young a 12 year old from DeWitt County drove his injured mother Sue Stiles two miles to Cuero Hospital after a downstairs accident. He had no license but followed his mother’s orders quitting the farm to seek care at DeTar Hospital. Relatives then took him to school while Mary Hanley of DeTar praised his calm conduct and heroic action.
