Recycling a way of life at Cypress Creek Cafe
Bruce Calkins co owner of CCC with his brother Dave started recycling at the cafe two years ago and expanded efforts. He notes Plaza Del Sol once hosted drop offs but funding faded. The transfer station accepts limited items so he also recycles plastic, cardboard, and newsprint elsewhere. He takes glass by color and bundles paper products before trips to ACCO Recycling in Austin and to San Marcos for metals, aiming to keep items from landfills.
