HCRA seeks new ball park as Wimberley youth programs grow
The HCRA on its 25th anniversary struggles to find a 20 to 25 acre flat site to expand baseball and basketball facilities. With 400 plus players last year, the nonprofit relies on raffles, dances, runs, candy sales, donations, and sponsorships. Lions Club support has risen to $6,000, while loans and rising costs strain funds for insurance, equipment, and maintenance. President Jerry Langston and board members stress volunteer effort and community involvement as they plan for future growth and space.
