Hays County approves bid by First Southwest for bonds
Hays County Judge Eddy Etheredge announced First Southwest Company of Austin may bid in the February 7 sale of 5.8 million general obligation bonds. The first installment of 18 million approved by voters funds courthouse renovation and about 50 miles of county roads with the remainder. First Southwest division in Austin handles the bond process while its Dallas Investment Division will submit the bid. Rating firms Moody's and Standard and Poor's will supply information used to set bid terms.
