Motor Bank Vandalized in Wimberley Branch Reopens
The Motor Bank of the Ozona National Bank in Wimberley reopened after vandals struck Monday evening. Sheriff’s deputies seek information at 512 396 6166. County officials also discussed single parcel development at a Monday commissioners court meeting, debating whether one owner with multiple deeds should follow subdivision review procedures and the need for plats.

Economic development representatives spend two hours Wednesday learning how to avoid playing Expanded Local Calling Chicken. HCEDC plans four simultaneous petitions to the Public Utility Commission to obtain expanded local calling between exchanges. Coordinators named for Wimberley Kyle Dripping Springs Buda and Lockhart exchanges plus a county-wide liaison with Boyle and Bender handling filings. Vandals struck the Wimberley Branch Motor Bank on April 18 damaging a glass door and interior doors while failing to breach the teller vault or ATM safe. Bank officials report no value missing. Hays County Deputy found more damage at 7:40 a.m. on April 19 and asks for tips at 512-396-6166.
