September Brings Change to Wimberley Life and Local Lore

In Wimberley September marks a shift as schools reopen and activities resume. The community notes hot days with cooling breezes and hints of rain for the Blanco Hills. Local pride centers on Arapahoe Warbonnet, a registered paint quarterhorse owned by Marsha and Larry Fowler and their daughter Christy. The Lyndon Baines Johnson National Park dedication drew Hill Country residents and visitors, with a Wimberley boy performing the Star Spangled Banner with the Fredericksburg High School Band. Stories highlight local families, long-standing ties to the area, and a notable fishing moment where three children caught six catfish, marking a summer highlight.
