The Lions Club reports its flea market as a growing major project in its first year. Plans for the 1974 season show 25 percent of exhibit spaces sold, with 40 more booths planned for an inner circle. Exhibit space sales run until October 6th at noon, then open to all at 24 dollars for the season.
October brings clear skies and cool nights to Wimberley after September rains. Local part-timers like Mavis Woolsey visit. casting for Universal Studio’s The Great Waldo Pepper drew about sixty residents for interviews in Wimberley and nearby towns plus San Antonio.
