Lions raise funds for crippled children camp in Kerrville
The Wimberley Lions heard Lion Marvin Nite outline the 1971 72 budget for the Texas Lions Crippled Children Camp in Kerrville and urged member support. They conduct a 100 percent contribution drive including a TV raffle for a RCA 19 inch color set, with $340 cost and $300 raised so far. The group noted recent zone meetings and a public turnout praise despite raffle shortfall. Also reported: Southwest Texas State University fall enrollment reached 11,377, up 1,437 from 9,940 in 1970.
