The Wimberley Water System reports 18 of 19 miles of pipe laid and a new well drilled with water quality and quantity exceeding expectations. Excavated rock is reused for a city dump fire wall and a firing range backstop near the Rodeo grounds. The September 1 Chamber of Commerce meeting at the school featured Mrs. C E Lyon of Georgetown with a reading. Treasurer Monnette announced 454.31 in funds and 113 family plus 17 business memberships. the Wimberley Mill contributed 61.50. A committee will plan Christmas decorations and a park discussion continued. Spencer Gu Marin is to guest at the October 6 meeting.

Spencer Guimarin to Speak at Chamber Program

He has been named director of the Health Careers Program for the Texas Hospital Association, a $12 million initiative serving 925 members. Guimarin takes the post November 1, succeeding Frederick A. Peery who returns to the University of Texas for doctoral work.
