Ringed Turtle Dove Rescued After Yard Encounter
Hazel C Green recounts a spring incident in Los Angeles where a Ringed Turtle Dove was attacked by a Game hen in Crumley's yard. The wounded bird was saved by Ruth Tidwell at Wimberley Automotive, cared for in a sanctuary, and later released after identifying it as a Ringed Turtle Dove with distinctive sandy plumage and neck band.
