Wimberley Rodeo Sets Attendance Record and Honors Helpers
The Wimberley VFW rodeo drew a record 423 contestants, the largest crowd yet, with standout acts by the USAF Drum and Bugle Corps from Lackland AFB. Organizers credit Jack Oldham, Owen Jones, Bill Smith, Cecil Hill, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for logistics, food service, and safety, while new events like Steer Undercorating and a children’s calf scramble drew large crowds.
