Wimberley Landmark Destroyed by Fire
The Old Byler House in Wimberley was destroyed by fire last week. It began as a two room dwelling when Rufe Byler married Ocie Skinner in 1908, later expanded to a four room bungalow in 1925. Children born there include J.N. Byler and Mrs Jewel Heath, with Reba Latchford as a grandchild. Mr Byler and Mrs Byler both died in January, as did the house burn in January.
