PEC could be forced to close if profits aren’t posted
PEC officials led by General Manager Hutchinson warned Wimberley residents that the Pec may fold within two years without profits. He noted 1974 losses, rising energy charges, and no base rate change since 1970 while gas costs from LCRA push bills higher. Congressman Pickle and LCRA leaders attended the meeting.
