Cleanup Day No 20 Builds Community in Wimberley
In 1950 the annual Cleanup Day began at the old Wimberley School and has grown as a school highlight. The Student Council and clubs coordinate the event with wide participation. The piece notes pride in the building and the value of student effort, plus a humorous reminiscence of neighbors trading labor and a tale of Crockett joined by Turkey Johnson for a day of work and a home meal.
