Pickle aims to revive Clapton's Crossing dam plan in new Congress

Congressman J J Pickle announced plans to seek reauthorization of Clapton's Crossing Dam on the Blanco River as part of a revived Public Works bill. The project, vetoed by President Nixon, would involve the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority for flood control water supply and recreation.

Miniature Train Meet At Wimberley Draws Enthusiasts

A two day meet at Bill Wood in Wimberley attracted 123 attendees from San Marcos to Burbank California. Members of Southern Live Steamers, Inc. displayed five live steam engines and several scale models, with a coal powered coal steamer from Burbank highlighted. Local builders include H S Blossom and J Robert King, both constructing steamers. a large crowd enjoyed train movies and a new Ft Worth track project.
