Artist Ruth Armiger's Colorful Rowayton Home Reveals Reflective Renovation
Westport artist Ruth Armiger and her husband George bought the circa 1872 Captain Craw house perched above Rowayton harbor. Once a dark Victorian warren, it became a bold, color drenched space inspired by sunset, Moroccan trips, and Matisse Delacroix palettes. The Rowayton Historical Society approved the renovation that reshaped the interior without altering its exterior stance.
