Elmendorf names new police chief to lead challenged force
The Elmendorf City Council hired Charles Salcedo of San Antonio as police chief with a $25,000 annual salary. He plans community programs and will start after unanimous approval. The council also set the ad valorem tax rate at 8.24 cents and discussed water service enforcement.
