Floresville Post Office Status Uncertain After Roof Damage
The Floresville post office remains closed after heavy rain exposed roof and possible wall damage from Hurricane Claudette. USPS official James Coultress said exact reopening timing is unclear as repairs and a look by the property owner are pending, with mail rerouted to Path and plans for a 2,500 square foot retail space to maintain service.

St Hedwig approves engineer to continue road project
At a Sept. 25 special meeting mayor and council approved Bob Bretz to continue Phase I of the road construction project as town engineer for one year. Bretz previously worked with Faraklas Engineering Inc. which recently terminated its contracts with the city. Change orders raise project cost to about 591000 with adjustments for old St Hedwig Road, road length, and dirt milling.
