Council backs CHIP program aid for un insured children
Floresville city council approves a resolution in support of the Texas CHIP program. A San Antonio CHIP coordinator estimates about 100,000 children across eight counties lack coverage. CHIP, funded by federal money and tobacco settlement funds, provides preventative care and hospital services for eligible children. Applications are available at the Texas Department of Health office in Floresville and at Wilson.
