County commissioners back river authority study on waste water
Wilson County commissioners unanimously approved a resolution supporting the San Antonio River Authority grant to study waste water treatment in four counties. The study would cost the county nothing if the $35,000 state grant is awarded, with SARA contributing $35,000 in matching funds. Resident Nanette Cook urged help with road paving taxes for Riata Estates and neighboring subdivisions and complained about assessments mixing Riata Estates with cheaper Lost Trails homes. The meeting also heard concerns over property valuations by the Wilson County Appraisal District and a request for an audit of tax rolls.
