Floresville Students Tour Crown Steel San Antonio
Forty four Floresville High School welding students toured Crown Steel Inc in San Antonio on May 4 with instructors Clifton Rogers and Larry Dollarhide. Grant funds from Alamo Workforce Development supported the trip. They also visited St Philip’s West Campus for welding and diesel tech tours led by C L Leonard assistant to the vice president for academics Southwest Campus.

La Vernia Pop Warner will host a one day cheerleading clinic at the La Vernia football field on Saturday June 10. ISD Holds Special Public Meeting On Bond Issue
Board president Sixtus Laskowski opened the April 10 session at 10 p.m. in the ISD meeting room. Attendees included Sixtus Laskowski, Ronnie Eckel, Richard Sanchez, Russell Boening, Tony Ramirez, Leonard Rotter, superintendent Larry Wilson, and others. Fred Silva was absent. Donald Gonzales of Southwest Securities discussed the bond issue. Randy Fromberg of Fromberg and Associates spoke on architecture. Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
