New Elmendorf leadership sworn in as council reshapes city
Newly elected Mayor Sherry Pefia and council members Hope Sauceda and Johnny Williamson took oaths and set in motion a restructuring plan including appointing a pro tem and consultant, firing the previous engineer, and reorganizing city government.
