Wilson County voters back incumbents in many races
Wilson County voters approved several incumbents for local offices while turnout was under 50 percent. Richard Boll Busselman Gregory Jaeggli and Bobby Joe Pope won reelection and Cornelia Frazier also held JP in Sutherland Springs. Precinct 4 winner Slim Daniels edged two challengers. Governor race leans toward John Hill with Bill Clements to face off. Referendums on Parimutuel Horseracing and Smelt Loan Interest failed. Floresville gains a Food Market. La Vernia eyes office complex and new City Hall. Baseball season begins as La Vernia Bears sit 4-0 and 150 plus youths join Summer leagues.
