Juvenile held on sexual assault charge in nursing home case
A 16-year-old in Wilson County faces aggravated sexual assault charges after an 82-year-old woman was assaulted at Country Care Manor in LaVernia. The juvenile detention center will host a diagnostic study to decide adult trial status with hearings set for May 12 and May 18. The state filed a petition April 29 to try him as an adult.

Paul Garcia age 31 and Monica Garcia age 33 were arrested after a April 28 raid at 1508 Plum Street Floresville. About 10 grams of cocaine found ready for sale. Each charged with one first degree felony possession with intent to manufacture and deliver drugs. Bonds set at 500000. They faced prior charges from a December 12, 1997 search at the same residence when 112 grams of cocaine were seized.
