Floresville veterans who have received the Purple Heart move into prior ity group 3 under revised law. They are exempt from co payment for VA hospital care and outpatient services. Unenrolled Purple Heart veterans may enroll by contacting Phil Thurman in Wilson County on Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or leave a message at 830-393-7352.

A rosary was recited at Franklin Funeral Home Floresville on Sunday at 7 p m and a funeral Mass was held Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery. She was the widow of Juan P Garcia and survived by her son Johnny Joe Garcia.
