Infectious hepatitis in dogs is a viral liver disease affecting young dogs most often though any age can be struck. It spreads via contact with saliva and urine and can be fatal in puppies. Symptoms include fever thirst listlessness eye discharge vomiting diarrhea red throat and swollen glands. Vaccination provides life long protection.
