Floresville drug crackdown nets two arrests on 10th Street
Floresville police arrested Angel Rangel and Stephanie Carvajal after a March 20 search at a mobile home off U S 181. Brought to Wilson County Jail, Rangel posted 47 000 bond and faces charges for manufacture and delivery of controlled substances plus marijuana new gun possession. Carvajal posted 9 500 bond on drug and marijuana charges and Wilson County hot check warrants. Officers seized firearms including a Mossberg Maverick shotgun and two revolvers and found eight grams of crystal meth along with marijuana. The raid followed tip information about meth in the home and involved multiple law enforcement agencies.

Path City considers waterline upgrade and zoning changes
The Path City Council workshop debated replacing a private 4 inch line with a 3800 foot 6 inch waterline along U S 181 south of Path and taking ownership in two to three years. Cost split with residents includes a $6 per meter monthly maintenance fee and 50 cent yearly rise. City to assess zoning for sexually oriented businesses amid oil boom. A four way stop at Sutherland and Carroll was approved and May 12 elections canceled with Pruski and council members returning.
