Preston C Stephens Named New La Vernia School Superintendent
Dr. Preston C Stephens was signed to a two year contract as Superintendent of La Vernia Independent School District. The contract begins July 1 after he was selected from 17 applicants and interviewed with five others. He comes from the Northeast School District in San Antonio where he directs curriculum and oversees a 5 million dollar budget. Stephens is a Houston Lufkin native and his wife Anne is principal of Schertz Elementary.
