Riders from across the country descend on Floresville for the 20th Annual Aardvark Motorcycle Rally at Floresville City Park June 24 to 26. San Antonio Gypsy MC sponsors a $12 adult, $6 child gate with live music, dancing, free swimming, camping, and showers.
Game warden John Bonham cautions residents not to disturb fawns and other wildlife found alone. He notes several fawns were picked up recently and warns of a $500 fine for confining wildlife. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department urges leaving wildlife undisturbed unless ill injured or orphaned. Bonham can be reached at 393 7742.
The Wilson County Sheriff's Department forms a hot check division to pursue overdue payments with a July 1 deadline to honor outstanding checks. The report also details arrests in drug and theft cases. Sgt. Randy Broom stopped Carlos Salinas on May 9 finding six ounces of marijuana with his vehicle and a drug dog assisting. A May 23 traffic stop yielded a quarter pound of marijuana. suspects David James Frazer and Erroll Sledd were arrested on possession charges.
The Michael Pruski family relocated to an apartment near Methodist Hospital in Houston awaiting a lung transplant for Michael who has primary pulmonary hypertension.
